Douglas Paulson, Emmett, woke up on Sunday morning with a winning Powerball ticket he did not believe. That’s because four of the first five numbers plus the Powerball matched the numbers drawn from the night before, making his ticket worth $50,000.

“I knew I’d won something since I matched the Powerball,” explained Paulson. “But then I saw I got that number, and then that number, and then that number, and another number. I just kept saying to her, ‘I think got something, I think I got something.’ Then I took it back to the store where I bought it and they told me I got something!”
Paulson bought his winning ticket from Shell Emmett. Paulson said he and his wife plan to put their winning toward a family reunion trip, their retirement, and paying off their house.
