Depending on your point of view, Christmas either came really early or just a little late for Leslie Sandlian of Burley. A week ago, while recovering from a medical procedure, Leslie stopped by the Unit 54 C-Store in Burley and picked up a couple of Cranberry Cashword Scratch tickets, the popular holiday game from 2015.
“I hardly ever play, but wanted to try my luck,” explained Leslie.
When she played her second ticket and realized she won the $30,000 top prize, she couldn’t believe it.
“That store never has any big winners,” said Leslie with a long thoughtful pause before adding with a smile, “Now they do!”
She plans to pay off her recent medical bills with her winnings.
